Park Narodowy Talampaya

Talampaya National Park was created in 1997 and has a total area of 2138 km². Since 2000, it has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as the most complete terrestrial fossil complex in the world from the Triassic period. As we are in a desert climate zone, the temperature amplitude reaches extremes from plus 40 degrees in summer to -7 in winter.

A visit to the park is breathtaking, everywhere we are surrounded by vertical red sandstone rocks with a height of almost 200 meters. Progressing erosion for centuries gives them the most fanciful shapes that can be observed for hours.

In front of the entrance we will find the headquarters of the Park Center, which is a tour operator, because you can no longer visit individually (as in previous years), which has its big advantages, unfortunately in addition to the price. After booking your trip for tomorrow, you can go to a camping site. We found many roofed benches and designated places for tents. You can see that the money earned is spent in a very thoughtful way and the tourist infrastructure is at a high level here.
