South, along the ocean ...
Traveling (especially by bicycle) along the ocean is not the easiest think what you can do. Strong winds, high elevations, capricious weather and poorly marked roads are a big challenge. Nevertheless, what we will see along the way is worth the challenge. On the way we will pass small towns and small fishing villages, putted picturesque over the shoreline. In each of these towns we can eat delicious fish and seafood freshly provided by fishermen.
Morning mists, strong wind and rain will give an aura of mystery and magic to the places encountered. An additional attraction are dozens of sea lions lying on the beach, stones or in the water, and flying in them flocks of huge pelicans. You can look endlessly at the scuffles of these massive animals.
On the way we recommend visiting the following places:
San Antonio – the best place to observe sea lions.
Pichilemu – the capital of Chilean surfers. The city is subordinated to lovers of “water” boards. Nice place to relax and swim in the ocean.
Bucalemu- a small place, ideal for walking on the beach and relaxing.
