Qin Emperor's army

The terracotta army is one of the wonders that is known all over the world. In 1974, completely by accident, three Chinese peasants started digging a well in the place where the terracotta army was located. The discovery quickly spread around the area and archaeological work began, and what was found exceeded all expectations.

In the tomb of the first emperor of China – Qin Chi, about 8,000 terracotta figures were found that were to symbolize his army and serve him in the afterlife. In three excavation sectors we can find a complete infantry regiment (3210 soldiers, including 6 combat vehicles, 200 crossbowmen and archers), cavalry and auxiliary units, and probably the command of a army.

According to archaeologists, the construction took 38 years and was carried out by over 700,000 craftsmen. This is not surprising when we look at the details of the figures . Each soldier has a different face, presents different professions, and was armed with real weapons.
