Old and new

Nagoya is the fourth largest (in terms of population) city in Japan and a very important commercial and industrial center.

The main industry of Nagoya is the automotive industry, such luxury brands as Toyota Lexus, Denso, Aisin Seiki Co., Toyota Industries, JTEKT and Toyota Boshoku have their headquarters here in Nagoya. The automotive industry is not inferior to the aviation industry, which has a very rich tradition in this region (during World War II it was here that the famous Mitsubishi A6M Zero was produced).

But Nagoya is not only modern office buildings but also a large number of monuments, testifying to the rich tradition of the region. The most famous is the castle with an interesting history.

Nagoya Castle was built partly from materials obtained from Kiyosu Castle. During construction, the entire city around Kiyosu Castle, consisting of about 60,000 people, moved to the newly planned city around Nagoya Castle. The castle can be visited from the inside and from its upper parts there is a beautiful panorama of the city.

In the evening you can take the subway towards the waterfront for a walk and admire the great harbor illuminated at night and the entertainment center located next door.

Nagoya is an interesting city, just in time for a 2 day stay.
