The trip to Monteverde was our first trip after arriving in San Jose. After a few hours of bus ride, we found ourselves in a steeply located small town. There was a pleasant coolness here which, unlike the heat in the capital, was a pleasant surprise.

To enter the park you have to travel 7 kilometers on foot or by taxi. There are several well-marked trails and viewpoints waiting for us, it is impossible to get lost. Around you can admire the jungle with its inhabitants, and in particular the attraction of the park with hummingbirds and other birds.

After a quiet walk, we can treat ourselves to more emotions in the form of a night trip to the jungle. Trips are organized by tourist offices and the visit should be booked in advance (the walk takes about an hour and a half). Thanks to the guide, we can see the entire spectrum of deadly predators (spiders, snakes, scorpions) and the nightlife of the jungle, which is the most active at this time. We definitely recommend this trip!
