The Lisbon's Monte Carlo
Choosing Estoril as a base for trip to Lisbon was a logistical’s best move. The city is located about 40 minutes by train from the capital of Portugal and is a very interesting place.
Estoril is a luxury town on the Portuguese Riviera, picturesquely situated on the ocean shore. Traditionally, the most influential people in the country have their villas here, devote themselves to a good time at the famous Estoril Casino, and watching Formula 1 races and the Estoril Open tennis tournament.
Estoril is for us primarily beautiful, steep cliffs and endless beach walks. It is an ideal place for morning jogging or evening rest from the bustle of the capital. An additional attraction is the delicious fish dishes served in small restaurants, which taste delicious along with Portuguese wine.
During the walks we came across a Polish accent … on the monument-bench sat such outstanding brave people as Jan Karski, Jerzy Lerski and Jan Nowak Jeziorański.
