Waterfalls

Erawan National Park (about 200 km north of Bangkok) was founded in 1975 and its main attraction are 7-level waterfalls.

The park is best accessible from Kachanaburi, by public transport, it takes about 1.5 hours.

After the park, we overcome the next stages climbing the stairs, sometimes more easly, sometimes more harder. Guards appear before stage 3, who take care of order and await to pay a deposit for each plastic bottle that we bring to the park. At the exit, the deposit is refunded if we show them the bottle we brought.

Each subsequent stage is a new waterfall with different tractions and views. At the last level, for example, along with the natives, we can slide down to the lake on a steep stone.

Overall – a beautiful place for a one-day trip. Lots of tourists, but the higher they are, the less they are, so it’s worth getting tired and come to the very end.
