Fuji-san

The Fuji Volcano is the highest peak in Japan (3776 meters), the holy mountain, the greatest inspiration of poets and the most recognized attraction of the country of cherry blossoms.

Several trails lead to the summit of Fuji, which differ in time of ascent to the summit and starting point. Nevertheless, in the fastest variant you need to prepare for about 5 hours of continuous climbing and about 3.5 hours of way back. If you do not have your own transport, the trip should be ended in the parking lot at the foot of the mountain until 6pm, at this time the last city bus to Gotemba leaves.

Climbing up is quite demanding, it is influenced by a large slope and considerable height. To take a rest, we can rest in 10 statcions, located on the slopes of the volcano. In the last shelter before the summit we passed a father with a child who was doing homework at the table … a trip with a trip but the homework must be done!

The view from the top, in fine weather is a big reward for exhausting climbing. Unfortunately, the way down is not less demanding because of the slag and small pebbles in which our feet collapse. It’s a big painy for your knees here and you can fall few times! If we have any favorite mountain shoes then don’t take them on this trip … they will be damagded and thrown away after this trip.
