Bangkok was a small village until the end of the 18th century when, after the destruction of Ajutthaji, it was made the capital. Today Bangkok is a city of great numbers, a global metropolis that is visited by over 20 million tourists every year. It is the hottest capital in the world (average temperature exceeds 28 degrees C) and probably also the most congested (less than 6 million cars are registered here).

Bangkok is a city of traffic, crowds, street food, scents, thousands of small shops and beautiful monuments. It stuns with speed, traffic and bustle, which does not stop even at night.
